The whistle community of Evia, Greece, as one of the world’s unique whistle languages, has had a long history of cultural and political centrality in the Greek context. The whistle language has become world renowned as Greece’s encoded language as a full syntax and unique community attracting thousands of visitors eveyr year to the region. The community’s main authority on the language, Panagiotis Tsanavaris, will present a lecture and workshop on the language and community.
