Abstract

Linguistic ethnoscience is usually judged using standards of science which are eurocentric. The basic move in giving formal foundations to any science or scientific method is by mathematizing it. The researcher proposes that mathematization can be achieved through the formal structures that emerge from ethno-mathematics. This paper is basically programmatic. It will involve the unique manner of local communities in conceptualizing mathematics and how that should be considered in formalization and applications of mathematical constructs in linguistic theories.
