Abstract

Folk tales contribute effectively in forming and educating children, predominantly in countries such as Vietnam, where heritage plays a vital role in the development of modern culture and society.

This research purports to accomplish several goals. Firstly, the research aims to improve the effectiveness of teaching local folklore (folk tales of ethnic minorities) to primary school pupils in the province of Lao Cai. Secondly, the research aims to contribute to implementing guidelines and policies to preserve and promote traditional cultural values. Thirdly, the research aims to contribute to improving the quality of teaching folk tales of ethnic minorities to teachers of primary schools in Lao Cai province. Collection, editing, publishing of folk tales of ethnic minorities in Lao Cai province will contribute to the community of ethnic minorities in the province to circulate and continue the traditional culture and literature. of the ethnic group. Contributing to implementing the policy of preserving and promoting the traditional culture of the Party and State, Lao Cai province; in particular, the practical contribution to the preservation of intangible cultural heritage of ethnic minorities has been facing the risk of being lost.

This study will contribute to traditional cultural education in general and folk tales of Lao Cai ethnic minorities, in particular for primary pupils schools, assisting them to appreciate the folk tales of their ethnic groups. Arousing national pride and self-respect, encouraging them to actively participate in learning and preserving the treasure of folk tales of Lao Cai ethnic minorities is also a significant motive. The research also contributes to the preservation and transmission of a precious intangible cultural heritage that is facing the risk of being eroded by the ethnic minority community in Lao Cai province. At the same time, this will assist researchers to obtain have more reliable research materials.
