The Relationship between Socialization and Cultural Convergence among Youth

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between socialization and cultural convergence among youth in 2019. The statistical population of this study includes all youth between 15 and 30 years of age in Mashhad, which according to the statistics of the municipality, is 868.357. The Cochran formula is used to calculate the sample size, which is 383. The method of this study is survey and a researcher-made questionnaire with validity and reliability was used. To determine the normality of variables are Kolmogorov-Smirnov test and to test the hypotheses by correlation tests, t-test and analysis of variance as well. Regression was used. The results of this study show that there is a significant positive relationship between socialization and cultural convergence in terms of age, gender and education and economic and social status. The data obtained from testing the hypotheses show that between formal and informal education and there is a significant relationship between cultural convergence, and with increasing or decreasing of these trainings, cultural convergence also increases or decreases. There is also a positive and significant relationship between awareness of community values ​​and norms and acquisition of social laws and cultural convergence and youth Learn more about the values ​​and norms of society and social laws have been enjoyed greater cultural integration. Based on the findings of the present study, it is suggested to increase the cultural convergence among young people, using specialized workgroups of social studies experts, demographics and ethnologists, cultural executives, ideologists, and cultural studies designers. Take appropriate action to adjust long-term training strategies.
