Participation in SOAS GLOCAL Conference service constitutes acceptance of this agreement.

By accessing and using the SOAS GLOCAL Conference services, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. In addition, when using the particular services respective to the SOAS GLOCAL Conferences, you shall be subject to any posted guidelines or rules applicable to such services, and to any changes to these rules, which may arise at any time. Any participation in this service will constitute acceptance of this agreement. What Personal Information the SOAS GLOCAL Collect

The SOAS GLOCAL collects the personal information online of all users of SOAS GLOCAL services when they voluntarily provide it to the SOAS GLOCAL. If the users choose to register online, the SOAS GLOCAL asks that they provide limited personal information, such as their name, address, telephone number, and email address. The SOAS GLOCAL also collects information that will allow users of its services to establish a username and password, should the users wish to register for SOAS GLOCAL log in services.

Payment and Refund

Payment and Refund Policy

All bookings made prior to the conferences and other services provided by The SOAS GLOCAL must be paid in full to guarantee registration or usage. Once payment has been received, an email confirmation will be sent. If payment is not made at the time of booking, registration will be provisional. All payments must be made by credit card, bank transfer, Wing, or any other service stulted by The SOAS GLOCAL. Payment by check can not be accepted, unless clearly stipulated in writing by The SOAS GLOCAL.

Special Rates: In order to quality for these rates, booking and payment must be received before the deadline date listed in the conference marketing material.

Delegates may nominate an alternative person from their organization to attend The SOAS GLOCAL events up to 72 hours prior to the start of those event at no charge, unless otherwise stipulated by The SOAS GLOCAL All registrations to the (SCOPUS/ISI) SOAS GLOCAL events are refundable in full up to four months from the date of payment, and will be refunded directly to the payer’s payment source. After this four month period, there will be a $20 USD fee, and the refund will be sent to the payer’s PayPal account, as The SOAS GLOCAL CALA cannot refund directly to a credit card after this four month period. At this time, PayPal will take a small transaction fee.

All attendants and registrants, to SOAS GLOCAL events, and predominantly students and affiliates who receive lowered registration, must be prepared to present identification upon arrival at the SOAS GLOCAL events, and hence upon receiving even identification, such as conference badges.

All registration fees to SOAS GLOCAL events must be forwarded to the SOAS GLOCAL or any representative body, such as collaborating universities or the CALA, COMELA, MEALA, AFALA, COOLA, or SCAALA committees, by the date specified on event respective websites, in order for a place in the even to be guaranteed. The SOAS GLOCAL receives an overwhelming response globally, and hence the SOAS GLOCAL attempts to accommodate to everyone, but space is limited.

Alterations

Alterations to programs, cancellation/postponement of events

The SOAS GLOCAL reserves the right to make alterations to the program, venue, and timings. of its events, In the unlikely event of these programs being canceled by The SOAS GLOCAL, a full refund will be made. Liability will be limited to the amount of the fee paid by the delegate.

Changes to Terms

Changes in Terms and Conditions

The SOAS GLOCAL reserves the right to change these conditions from time to time as it sees fit. The continued use of The SOAS GLOCAL site will signify the acceptance of any adjustment to these terms by the users. If there are any changes to The SOAS GLOCAL website privacy policy, The SOAS GLOCAL will announce that these changes have been made, on The SOAS GLOCAL home page or on other key pages on The SOAS GLOCAL site. If there are any changes in how The SOAS GLOCAL uses the site’s customers’ Personally Identifiable Information, notification by email will be made to those affected by the change. Any changes to the privacy policy if The SOAS GLOCAL website and other services will be posted on The SOAS GLOCAL website 30 days prior to these changes taking place. All users are therefore advised to re-read this statement on a regular basis.

Certificates of Attendance and Participation

Authors and presenters whose abstracts have been reviewed and have passed the review process for inclusion into the conference program pending registration may receivie a Certificate of Acceptance of Abstract, and hence permission to register for the conference. However, this certificate will stipulate that the author has not yet been accepted into the program and hence until such a time as when all necessary registration for the coference has been finalized.

Only authors and presenters who have completed all registration requirements for the respective conference and who have attended and presented at the respective GLOCAL conference will receive a formal Certificate of Attendance.

Conference Mandatory Particiption

Only authors and presenters who have attended and participated at the SOAS GLOCAL conferences will be eligible for consideration for inclusion into the proceedings and any other publications emanating from the conference. Registrants can send a substitute to present in place of the authors. However, in this case, the absent authors and hence absent presenters can not receive a cetificate of participation, nor can they be considered for the review process and susequent entry into any pulications as such.

Media

GLOCAL records an extensive amount of media throughout the whole conference, which is then subsequently uses for all of its platforms. By participating in this conference, all participants permit the SOAS GLOCAL to use names and photographs for such purposes.
