The aims of The GLOCAL include to flagship and guide Linguistic Anthropology, Sociolinguistics, and Language and Society, and to promote activity in these and pertinent fields. while also to be active in advocacy, and collaboration of people in, these fields. With certain factors becoming increasingly essential in academia, such as the impact of publishing, and integrity in teaching, The GLOCAL assists its members, and those within its member affiliate organizations, to achieve these goals.
