This study aims to firstly investigate music pedagogies at the Faculty of Education, Nakhon Phanom University, and secondly, to analyze the concept of teaching music for early childhood levels, at the same faculty. Here, international curriculum have been employed and thus requiring the integration of local texts with global strategies in education.

The research draws on interviews and observations of students and educators at the school. The study observes and critically discusses ways in which teachers create musical instruments and musical techniques through community engagement, and through developing musical instruments from materials found locally. Finally, the study incorporates a skills development framework which begins at simple listening, rhythmic activity, and vocal techniques, where children engage in activity so to develop their physical, emotional, cognitive, and communal groundings.
