Abstract

This research explores the sociological study of social relationships in Migration cities and its social determinants in 2018.

The research was conducted in Iran, and focuses on populations of citizens of Mashhad, one of the large migration cities of Iran, a fact based on the general population census and housing. The population of this city is 3,001,184 people. Using Cochran’s formula, 384 people were selected as the sample size of the present study. This research builds on a survey, and a researcher-made questionnaire. For testing the hypotheses, we used correlation tests, t-tests, and analysis of variance and regression.

The results of this research indicate that geographical and climatic factors, such as habitat and ethnicity, and social factors, such as social trust, affect the level of social relations. Further, it was determined that the socio-economic base of immigrant citizens also affected their social relations. There is also a significant difference between the social relationships of immigrant citizens in terms of demographic factors, such as age, gender, occupation, marriage and education. However, in this study, it was determined that political, legal, intellectual, cultural, personality and psychological factors affecting social relationships remain unchanged.
