GLOCAL Conferences

The SOAS GLOCAL collaborates with academic institutions globally to hold conferences in various locations globally, categorized into six regions(below). Each conference invites participants globally to present and discuss findings, as well as theoretical, methodological, and conceptual work in Linguistic Cultural Anthropology. The conferences include workshops, presentations, talks by prominent scholars, cultural and anthropological performances, (SCOPUS / ISI) publications, networking sessions, displays, media, and other sections that all contribute to the growth of individual scholars and institutions.

The GLOCAL COOLA, The Conference on Oceanian Linguistic Anthropology, is the annual conference on Oceanian Linguistic Cultural Anthropology, Sociolinguistics, and Language and Society, hosted in collaboration with a particular institution, where the location changes annually.
